Q&A signpost.
Do I need to ride to come?
Nope. Spectator passes are $15 to $25 depending on the event. Non-riders are welcome at The Grille, the campground, the bonfires, and most events. We get partners, families, friends, and curious neighbors all the time.
Can I bring my own machine?
Yes. Day passes ($40-55) are for guests with their own side-by-side, ATV, dirt bike, or 4WD rig. Bring a valid license, a helmet, and a closed-cab vehicle for the technical trails.
Do I need a guide?
Not required. The trail system is well marked at every junction and the front acres are family-friendly. Guides are available for hire ($120/half-day) for first-time guests or groups who want a walk-through.
Is the property kid-friendly?
Yes, with adult supervision. Kids 10 and under ride free on family passes. The front acres, the campground, the Halloween Trail family route, and The Grille porch are all built around the family-with-kids crowd.
What's the deal with the events?
We run twenty-plus events a year. Drag racing, rally rounds, family weekends, holiday-themed trails, and standing weekly bonfires. Most events sell tickets online in advance and walk-ins are usually allowed but priced higher.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs on leash in the campground and at The Grille porch. Not allowed in the cabins or on the trails for their own safety. Plenty of guests bring dogs and it works fine if you've thought ahead.
What if the weather closes the trails?
Lightning closes the trails. Sustained rain closes the High Iron network. Front acres usually stay open. Weather closures get posted on the homepage banner and in our Instagram story by 7a daily.
Are you really open 365 days a year?
Yes. We have backup generators for power continuity through the storms that knock out the grid. Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's morning, we're open. Sometimes lightly staffed, always accessible.
